Project Linus

Project Linus is a volunteer non-profit organization with a two-fold mission:


   1.    First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of, new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers".


   2.    Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.

One*n*Ten. serves LGBTQ youth in a variety of ways to “enhance their lives by providing empowering social and service programs that promote self‐expression, self‐acceptance, leadership development and healthy life choices.” One*n*Ten has requested twin sized quilts that would go to LGBTQ youth in need as part of their housing program.

What they would like

  • Using the cluckclucksew tutorial

  • Make 11"" squares using greys and bright color / trim down to 9.5"

JFCS

Jewish Family and Children's Service of Arizona: A nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to strengthening the community through quality behavioral health and social services to children, families and adults.

What they would like

  • Lap quilts (40" x 50/60") for Elderly Shut ins services by JFCS social workers

  • Small decorative quilts about 12" x 12" for distribution in holiday bags for same recipients

  • Miscellaneous handmade items for holiday bags
